Speech Objectives for Healthcare Professionals:

Speaking at several conferences since 2015, my speech objectives included but weren’t limited to:

1.Sharing my experience as a nurse-turned-patient and a victim-turned-survivor.

2. Chronicling my personal journey from ruptured brain aneurysm victim to survivor.

3. Sharing my experience as a healthcare professional turned patient; a top fear of many doctors and nurses.

Mental Health:

Discussing my tumultuous journey after the rupture; how I dealt with the fear, stress, anger, depression and final acceptance of this life-changing event.
Leading a detailed discussion of Kubler-Ross's 5 stage grief cycle: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance.

My goals are to motivate survivors to pay it forward as so many people, dedicated to my success, have done for me.
